Hello all, I hope the children are busy at home and have adjusted to new daily routines. The new home learning activities for Reception class have been set up on our school website.  I have not made the home learning list too long, as I'm sure many of you have to be working from home. For example if they play with Lego ask them to describe the character or the construction they have created. Ask them to make a construction using exactly 20 bricks, etc Writing shopping lists and cooking recipes are usually children's favourite writing tasks. The children have kept our spirits up during the week by singing, dancing and having fun as they normally do. This week we have focused on language skills and communicating with each other. We have read story books and thought of different endings to each story.  A group of children have found a green caterpillar in our garden. We have learnt facts about caterpillars, we have read The hungry Caterpillar book, and have sequenced the events of the story. In Maths we were working on adding one more and taking one away through practical activities. During school closure We have put together some activities for the children to do while they are not at school and these will be on the school website.  Please continue to look at the website for any updates and do not hesitate to communicate with me through email. I wish you all stay healthy and stron

We have planted trees in our garden and have sown  cress seeds in our classroom. On Thursday the children took part in the Forensic Science Workshop which they have really enjoyed.
