Hello all, On Thursday, Reception class spent some time playing in their new Year 1 classroom. The children had a lovely time playing in the new environment. They particularly liked dressing up, small world play and playing outdoors. I am confident, that they had a good first experience of Year 1 which should make the transition smooth. We finally managed to pull up the potatoes and pick the beans on Friday. The children cleaned the vegetables and we cooked them so that they could taste their own produce.  Hello, We are very excited that Miss Chandler has given birth to a baby boy called Alby. I am sure the children will be very excited to see the photographs on Monday as they have been observing the timeline of  the pregnancy. We wish the family all our best for the wonderful sleepless nights!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This week the children engaged in a variety of messy play and creative  activities. The children engaged in painting, pattern making, designing models out of construction materials and performing songs, dances and creative story telling. As the weather was beautiful this week, we have spent a lot of time outdoors. The children loved playing football, playing games with the parachute and were looking for bugs under stones and wooden logs. Next week on Thursday is the transition day. The Reception class children will spend some time in their new Year 1 c

We are very proud of them and I hope you have all enjoyed it. The caterpillars have now built their cocoons and they are ready to go into the butterfly house to spend some time before they become butterflies. The children are very excited and eagerly await the transformation so watch this space. The potatoes are ready to be pulled out of the ground and the beans are ready to be picked which we will be doing next week. We are going to cook the potatoes and beans for the the children to eat. Maths In maths we have discussed  addition and practised adding two single digit numbers using objects. We will continue with addition next week.  Phonics In phonics we were practising our new Little Wandle captions which describe digraphs and trigraphs.
