Hello all,
On Thursday, Reception class spent some time playing in their new Year 1 classroom. The children had a lovely time playing in the new environment. They particularly liked dressing up, small world play and playing outdoors. I am confident, that they had a good first experience of Year 1 which should make the transition smooth.
We finally managed to pull up the potatoes and pick the beans on Friday. The children cleaned the vegetables and we cooked them so that they could taste their own produce.
On Monday, we found five butterflies in our butterfly garden. After feeding them, we let them fly into the nature.
The children have been playing a game with a blind fold, they have been using their sense of taste and smell to identify things presented to them. They managed to identify most of the substances.
At the end of the day we are looking forward to seeing some of you at the summer event on the fields. I hope you all have a great weekend.
