Hello everyone, On Monday we have welcomed Macy to Reception class. The children showed lovely manners when showing Macy our classroom and engaging her in play and conversation. When we returned to school after the weekend, we found that our tadpoles have transformed into frogs and were already great at jumping so Miss Ellis took them to her pond. This week we have been learning about different jobs that people do. The children were telling us what jobs they would like to do when they grow up. We have lots of future chefs, doctors and policemen in our class.  We have noticed that many children are interested in doing shows and performing on our stage, therefore next week we will create a theatre in our classroom. I am sure that the children will have lots of fun performing and making props for their play. Phonics In phonics we have been reading short stories and decoding words with our digraphs. Next week we will continue with reading activities and we will learn the tricky word :'

We have released the majority of them into a pond as we felt that they needed more space. We have left some in the classroom so the children can watch the full transformation of a tadpole to a frog. This week we have been discussing a healthy diet and the importance of eating fruit and vegetables for our health. We have read information books on the subject and "The vegetable glue" story. The children seem to have a good understanding of what foods are beneficial for their health. Next w
