The children have kept our spirits up during the week by singing, dancing and having fun as they normally do. This week we have focused on language skills and communicating with each other. We have read story books and thought of different endings to each story.
A group of children have found a green caterpillar in our garden. We have learnt facts about caterpillars, we have read The hungry Caterpillar book, and have sequenced the events of the story.
The hair salon has been very busy, and we have had teachers visiting us to have their hair done. They were all delighted with the service!
In Maths we were working on adding one more and taking one away through practical activities.

During school closure
We have put together some activities for the children to do while they are not at school and these will be on the school website.  Please continue to look at the website for any updates and do not hesitate to communicate with me through email.
I wish you all stay healthy and strong during this difficult time. Our children will learn from us how to cope in challenging situations. They will learn about the importance of simple acts of kindness and the strength of our community. Lets keep positive and look after one another. We will see you all soon.
Mrs Sheehan
