Hello all,
This week we have turned our fruit and milk station into a shop. The children have been learning about money and have had to pay for their fruit and milk using the till and coins. It has been a great way to introduce money to the children in a fun way. Next week we will learn to recognise banknotes.
We have also had a delivery of caterpillars which we are going to look after and put into our butterfly enclosure. The children will be learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and other life cycles in our environment.
On Thursday is our sports day. The children will be in groups with their siblings and other children throughout the school. When you arrive you will be able to join your child's group as they do activities. Each group has a member of staff with them so please be reassured that your child will be ok. We will congregate on the school field so find your child and join in. We are hoping for nice weather so fingers crossed. The children can come to school wearing their own sports clothes.
Please continue to send your child into school with a sun hat and sun cream as the lovely sunny weather continues.
Reading Books- Little Wandle Letters and Sounds
From this week, you will be able access your child's weekly reading book from Collins eBooks library online. We have placed an information sheet with your child's username and password in their orange reading diary. Please keep your child's password and the username safe as you will need them to access the books each week. We have read the paper version of the book assigned to your child three times this week in school and the children are excited about reading their book on the screen at home. Please continue writing comments in your child's reading diary. If you have any questions please email me or Mrs Robinson.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs Sheehan
