Hello all,

On Tuesday, we celebrated Safer Internet Day. We talked about how to use screens safely and what we can do to stay safe online. The children learned that if they ever see something on a screen that worries or upsets them, they should always tell a trusted adult. We discussed the importance of being kind online and making good choices when using technology.

It has also been Mental Health Week in school. We spent time talking about different emotions and how we feel at different times. The children shared their ideas about what makes them happy, sad, excited, or worried. We also enjoyed some lovely mindfulness sessions, where we practised calming our bodies and minds through breathing and quiet time.

Phonics

In phonics, we have been revisiting Phase 2 and 3 letter sounds and the tricky words. Please keep practising the sounds at home until your child can read each one fluently.

For practice videos go to Little Wandle website and choose the section for parents.

Please use the link below to access the videos of the letter sound pronunciations.

Thank you for your continuous support.

Maths

In maths we have been exploring odd and even numbers and double quantities.

Next week is half term and we are all looking forward to a rest. I hope you all have a good break and we look forward to seeing you after the holidays.
