Hello everyone,
This week we have been exploring a frog life cycle. The children were fascinated by the frog facts which we have learnt through information books, videos and pictures. They drew pictures of frogs and wrote facts about frogs.
Phonics
In phonics we practised reading words ending with -ing; -ed and -est e.g. swimming, smashed, softest. our tricky words were: out, today.
Maths
In maths we used 2D shapes to compose, decompose and arrange different shapes.
School trip
We are looking forward to Willows Farm school trip on Monday the 2nd of June. Please arrive to school at 8.45 as we will be leaving around 9am.
The children should be wearing comfortable clothing and footwear. All should wear socks and bring a long sleeve t-shirt which is required for soft play equipment.
Please put sun cream on at home before the trip and bring a sun hat if it is a hot day.
The children should bring packed lunch in a disposable ( plastic) bag and a regular water bottle in case we need to refill the bottle.
We will be back in school around 3pm so you can collect the children at a usual time 3.10 pm from the Foundation building.
Have a brilliant half term!
Mrs Sheehan
