Hello all,

This week we looked at our garden and discussed what needs to be done to make it look better. We took the weeds out and planted sunflower, leek an tomato seeds. We learnt about parts of plants and we identified the important factors for the plant growth. Many children were eager to be involved in gardening and we are excited to observe how our garden will be changing over the coming weeks. Next, we are planning to plant  potatoes and onions which hopefully we will be able to taste in the Summer.

On Friday the 5th of May we will celebrate King's coronation in school. The children made flags and paper chains to decorate our classroom and we are learning a dance to mark this momentous occasion.

Maths

In maths we continued learning addition using the ten frames. Next week we will focus on counting on.

Phonics

In phonics we practised reading longer words and spelling words using magnetic letters.

In PE the children practised Cricket skills using different sizes of balls and were engager in team building activities.

Have a lovely weekend!

Mrs Sheehan
