 Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for the donations of plants for our garden. They are all planted now and the children are looking after them. We have been referring to our experiences of gardening when reading 'Eddie's Garden' story by Sarah Garland. Next week we are going to be using our wildlife garden and the outside classroom to learn about changes in nature in Spring time. We are also planning on lighting our fire pit, weather permitting.

Next week on Friday is Red Nose Day. This will be a non uniform day and the children can wear their red noses. We will be learning about meaning of the word 'charity'.

Phonics

In Phonics the children have been introduced to the letter sounds: 'ure' and 'er'.

Next week we will focus on using our knowledge of phonics in making labels for pictures.

Maths

In Maths we have started learning about odd and even number which we will continue next week.

Our music teacher Mrs Lawrence will teach us the song 'Odd Bod and Even Steven'. This will help us to memorise odd and even numbers.

Have a great weekend!

Mrs Sheehan
