Hello all,
This week the children observed the changes in nature with the Autumn season now upon us. We went for a nature walk and collected colourful leaves, acorns, conkers and pinecones which we have placed on our nature table for everyone to explore.
The children have learnt about Stephen Wiltshire this week to celebrate Black History Month. Here are some of the pieces of art they have created.
Phonics
In phonics the children were introduced to the letters and sounds: g. o. c, k and the tricky word 'and'.
Next week we will be making words with the letters we already know.
Maths
In maths we were counting actions and objects which cannot be moved.
Next week we will be counting objects and ordering quantities.
Bags and spare clothes
Mrs Robinson mentioned earlier on in the week about school bags. We have had a few problems with big bags which have left no room for coats. If your child gets wet we will change them in our spare clothes so please don't feel you need to pack spares unless you have spoken to us. If your child comes home in school clothes could you please wash them and return them to us so that we can use them again. We are in need of spare socks so if you have any please send them our way.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs Sheehan
