Hello all,
Huge thank you from our Foundation team for the very generous gifts! You have completely spoilt us! We love the thank you pictures from the children. What a beautiful memory to treasure.
We have one more week of school left before we start our Summer break. The children who are in school are looking foreword to holidays and to starting Year 1 in September. I will pass the information about the children to Mrs Davis who will be the Year 1 teacher next year. I am sure that together we will make the transition a positive experience for the children. We will give them time to settle back in to school with a familiar daily routine and time for learning through play.
For the next week's home learning we have set up activities related to space. I hope the children will have fun building rockets and making moon rocks.
Next week we will send goodbye video to the children who are learning at home so please check the next week's blog.

 Hello all, This week we have begun learning songs for the Harvest Festival. The children found lots of colourful autumn leaves in the garden which they have used for cooking in our mud kitchen. We have seen lots of amazing pies and beautifully decorated cakes.  The children also loved doing a puppet show. They used puppets and dressed up to perform for their friends.  Welcome back,  It has been a good week in foundation and the children seem very happy to be back with their friends. We have created a Winter area for the children to play and learn in, with lots of activities relating to the cold. I have included some photos for you to see.  Next week we are going to be starting  stay and play sessions. We have put families into groups so that we don't have too many people in the unit at once. Please make sure that you know what date you are invited to join us and speak to me if you have any queries. Child Initiated Stay and Play Sessions Happy New Year to you all.  Hello all, We have a had a very Chinese week in the unit with lots of exciting activities relating to the Chinese New Year. The children have made Chinese dragons, prepared and eaten noodles using chop sticks, looked at China on our map and learnt about the Chinese Zodiac story. It has been a very busy week. The children have also tried to do some Chinese writing which was fantastic. We always enjoy this festival as it really captivates their interest  especially as we are looking at other countries each day on our map. On Tuesday, Reception class went for their first school trip to The Snow Centre. The children were very excited going on a coach as for most of them it was the first time having that experience. I'm glad all the children found the courage to go down the slope. The children were amazing and the staff from the centre commented on our children's excellent behaviour.
