We have started the week with a visit to Christ Church. The children were engaged in finding different shapes around the church and they have listened to Noah's Ark story told by Chris the curate. It was a lovely experience for us all. Thank you to the parents for helping during the trip.
On Thursday Reception class children have spent some time in Year 1 classroom with their new teacher. They wee very excited and told me about all the activities they were doing. Thy are so grown up and ready for new challenges.
We have enjoyed garden play throughout the week as the weather was lovely. The children experimented with transferring water through pipes and have made lots of delicious food in the mud kitchen.
During the week we have listened to children's songs from different countries and on Friday we have looked at Greek dance and River dance. The children were absolutely mesmerised watching the dance videos and had a go at the dances too.
Next week we will focus on art. We will use different techniques to represent flowers and will look at famous artist ( John Constable, Monet, Van Gogh) who featured flowers in their art work.
Have a great weekend!
