Our learning this week has been based on  Jack and the Beanstalk. We have planted a magic bean which has already started to grow. We are hoping that as the children observe the growth of the  beanstalk, they will be inspired to create great pieces of art and writing.

Our baby dinosaur  hatched on Thursday. We had a vote to decide on the name and it is Brodee . The children were very excited and have made an amazing den for Brodee.

During the week the children have made yummy cress sandwiches from the cress that they have grown by themselves. The sandwiches were sold in our Foundation Café for 2 pence each.

Maths
Next week in maths we will concentrate on number bonds 1-10. We will look for different ways of making number 10 using two single digit numbers.

Phonics
The children will apply their knowledge of phonics in writing. We will continue to work on the letter formation.

On Friday the 17th of May at 9am Reception Class children will be performing during assembly. All parents are welcome to come to the assembly and watch their child on the stage. If you are bringing younger siblings , please make sure that they are not disturbing our performers during the assembly.

Hope to see you all on Friday.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs Sheehan
