Hello everyone,
This week in Reception we have focused on "Superworm" book by Julia Donaldson. We looked at the different things that the Superworm could change itself into such as a hat, a fairground ride, a lasso and the children shared their own ideas too. The children made very, very long worms out of playdough and compared the lengths. We were glad to see some rain this week as we were able to find lots of worms in the garden.
Maths
In Maths we were exploring height and length. I have introduced a new maths material called Cuisenaire rods to the class. They were very keen to use it during the child initiated play for comparing sizes and creative construction.
Phonics
In phonics, we have been revisiting Phase 2 and 3 letter sounds and the tricky words. Please keep revisiting the sounds at home until your child can read each one fluently.
For practice videos go to Little Wandle website and choose the section for parents.
Please use the link below to access the videos of the letter sound pronunciations.

Thank you for your continuous support.
Have a great weekend!
